SUMMARY:2025 Arts and Crafts Competition
DESCRIPTION:Fort Lauderdale Woman’s Club\nArt and Culture Committee \nChair: Amalie Parrott\nCo-Chair: Penny Frazer \nIt’s time to start thinking about the GFWC Arts and Crafts Contest to be held at our February membership meeting on February 20\, 2025. We hope our members will consider submitting pieces in the areas of needlework\, drawing or painting\, photography\, and crafts. \nEntries for the Club’s 2025 show will be limited to a total of six (6) pieces per member and are judged at the Club level where they compete for 1st\, 2nd\, 3rd place and honorable mention awards. \nPrizes will be awarded as follows: \n1. First\, second\, third\, and honorable mention ribbons will be awarded in each category\, if\ndeemed by the judge(s).\n2. Even if there is only one entry\, it does not necessarily mean the entry is to receive a 1st\nplace ribbon.\n3. The decision of the judge(s) will be final.\n4. Club and District levels may award additional ribbons\, such as Best of Show\, etc. \nPlease read the attached pdf documents to review the competition categories and general GFWC – Florida rules. \nClub members are invited to show off their artistic talents by submitting original pieces in the following categories: \nCrafts 1-44\nArts 70-80\nPhotography 90-97 \nFirst place winners advance to the District 13 competition in the Spring.
