Once a quarter the Fort Lauderdale Woman’s Club features films with a Florida connection at our “Hibiscus Theatre” clubhouse. The $5 ticket includes free popcorn. Cash bar: wine and beer. Doors open at 6:30pm and movie begins at 7:00 pm.

About HARRY & SON – 1984 American drama film directed by Paul Newman, who also stars. The screenplay by Newman and Ronald Buck focuses on the relationship between a blue-collar worker and his son (Robby Benson), who fails at various odd jobs while aspiring to be a writer. Joanne Woodward, Ellen Barkin, Ossie Davis, Wilford Brimley and Judith Ivey also star. The film also features Morgan Freeman in an early role. Much of the film was shot in Lake Worth, Florida. $5 Film Night Banner

Admission fee will go to the FLWC Blanket Project. The “no sew” blankets costs about $20 each to make and are provided to the children and young adults going through cancer treatment in the Oncology Department at Broward Health Medical Center. This will be our 5th year doing this very heartwarming project. With your help, we are hoping to complete 40 this year!
