One of our favorite meeting programs is our our annual arts competition, which provides our members an opportunity to showcase their creative talents! Once again, this year’s show is being organized by Carol Norman, Board Member-Arts Chair. Show and luncheon buffet opens at 11:30 am. Meeting program begins at Noon. Guests are welcome!
Alice Ollivierre of Me & My G Studios will be judging and speaking/demonstrating a somewhat new art form known as “acrylic pour,” “fluid art” or “paint pouring.”
Catered Luncheon Buffet by TooJays is $15. We need your RSVP! FLWC Members please reply via Evite in your email and Guests please email fortlauderdalewomansclub@live.com.
ARTS & CRAFTS COMPETITION GUIDELINES: Items entered must have been produced during 2019. You may enter more than one item per category. You cannot have made more than $1,000 of income off of your art sales in the past year. All blue ribbon winners* must be willing to enter their piece to the next level(s) of competition i.e. GFWC District 13 and State shows.
Please call/text/email Carol about your entry by February 17. Plan to drop of your entries the morning of meeting between 10:00-10:45 am. Judging is from 10:45-11:30 am.

- Arts – painting, drawing, mixed media
- Crafts – ceramic, mosaic, stained glass, jewelry, scrapbooking, floral, knitwork, fabric work
- Photography – portrait, natural history, scenic and featured (people or persons in situation)

* Blue Ribbon Winners will first go onto the GFWC Florida District 13 Competition on March 7th. It will be at the at the GFWC Davie Woman’s Club, 6551 Orange Drive, Davie, FL 33314 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Carol will transport your items, however you are welcome to attend!
