St. Patty’s Breakfast /  Service to our Community

Our annual service to the community is already here! This Saturday March 8th from 8 to 11:30 am we will be expecting 200 Fort Lauderdale Fire Department Firemen, Fort Lauderdale Police and their Families to come and be served a hearty Irish breakfast prior to the city’s St Patty’s Parade.

Our Hibiscus Kitchen chefs will have been cooking for 3 WHOLE DAYS prior to the event so we could use some servers during breakfast! We will ESPECIALLY need help with CLEAN UP after as we have a lovely Lady’s Cotillion Class at the club the very next morning, so PLEASE CONSIDER COMING AND HELPING WITH CLEAN UP if you can!

Thanks in advance to Jami Zurita and her cleaning crew who will be there to help clean the day before. Jami will also be donating her time and labor to clean the fountain in the garden for us – a HUGE task quoted at $950! – saving our club money! THANK YOU JAMI !

OVEN Fundraiser Update

From our President, Annette:

“We got a dishwasher donated by a neighbor of mine recently. Just yesterday we were able to purchase an oven and range! Now the additional unromantic costs : electrical work, cabinetry, plumbing to hook up the dishwasher and the icemaker too. Basically a mini remodel is going on in the kitchen! Please continue to donate towards it if you can, or keep eyes and ears out for a donation of cabinets! Thank you to all who donated towards these upgrades!”

Security Update

Our own Fort Lauderdale Police Department has generously upgraded and donated new security cameras for our exterior security system! We are in the process of installing interior cameras, as well, as we are hoping to have those possibly donated soon. We will keep you posted!
