This historic event on Thursday, May 19, 2022 is the last before our club’s summer break. The Fort Lauderdale Woman’s Club in conjunction with the William G. Pomeroy Foundation and the National Collaboration of Women’s Historic Sites invite you to a Dedication Ceremony for the National Votes for Women Trail honoring Ivy Stranahan. She is considered the Mother of the City of Fort Lauderdale, former club President 1913-1916, and a strong suffragist! She and her husband Frank donated the land where our clubhouse is located. Come and hear the little-known and well-known historical facts about both our club and Ivy Stranahan from the Fort Lauderdale Historical Society and the League of Women Voters. Join us for a champagne reception at 5:30 p.m. The dedication will begin at 6:15 p.m. Attendance is free for this historical dedication.
