Concerns of professional women will be in the spotlight when attorneys from the law firm of Panza, Maurer & Maynard present Lunch & Learn — covering legal issues geared to women, on Wednesday, Nov. 12, as a benefit for the Fort Lauderdale Women’s Club (FLWC).

The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the newly renovated 103-year-old Clubhouse, 20 South Andrews Avenue, Downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Three presentations plus Q & A, geared to professional women’s issues include:

  • New Business Start-up Regulations by Pamela Kane
  • Discrimination in the Workplace/EEOC by Dana Panza McDonald
  • Corporate Disputes and How to Prevent Them by Shobha Nagaprasanna.

Managing Partner Susan Horovitz Maurer says that the 40-plus-year-old firm “is thrilled to give back to the community.  And the fact that we get to share our knowledge while benefitting the Woman’s Club made this Lunch & Learn event especially appealing.”

Proceeds from the event will help to cover costs for a new floor that had to be installed for safety reasons at the Clubhouse, built 97 years ago and located at the intersection of Broward Boulevard and Andrews Avenue.

The cost for the event is $25 per person, and includes lunch catered by the Downtowner restaurant, with homemade desserts baked by Club members.  All proceeds benefit the FLWC Restoration Fund.

Register online at www.fortlauderdalewomansclub.com/cart by November 10.
