Once again the Home Life Committee is having our annual summer “No-Sew” Blanket Project in June.  You have two blanket making sessions to choose from.  Refreshments will be provided.  The blankets are for the children and young adults going thru cancer treatment in the oncology department at Broward Health Medical Center.

Wednesday, June 26 – 10:00 am to 2:00 pm or Thursday, June 27 – 6:00 to 9:00 pm

This will be our 5th year doing this very heartwarming project. We are hoping to complete “40” blankets this year – our most ambitious goal!  Please help if you can this Summer.  To RSVP or questions, please contact Donna Richardson at 954-762-9444.

EXTRA, EXTRA – POST EVENT MESSAGE FROM DONNA

Once again this project was a huge success and we had such a great time.  
Thanks to everyone who donated their time and treasure in June.

A special “thank you” to Rebecca and David Solomon who generously provided a wonderful Chinese dinner at the Thursday night session. I also want to recognize Carol Norman who made beautiful cards that we included in each blanket.

Ticket sales from the JetBlue Special Drawing covered the cost of materials for this year’s expenses for the Blanket Making Project. In fact the $2,015 raised is going to help several years to come! Kudos to JoAnn Smith who sold over $500 tickets to our local firefighters and police – and the winner (holding basket in picture below) was a Fireman!!
