 "The Women Behind Everglades National Park" Member Meeting and Luncheon Before there was Everglades National Park, there was Royal Palm State Park.  This park was owned and maintained by the Florida Federation of Women’s Clubs from 1916 until 1947 when Everglades National Park was dedicated.
